Butterfly Girls Pattern

I've had this idea in my head for ages now, and just finished it today.. I think it would make fantastic gift wrap, don't you? Or wallpaper for a Powder Room?

I tell you: I am amazed at what I've accomplished so far this month. There have definitely been days when I haven't felt like making something, but I push through anyway, and at the end of the day I'm looking at something that didn't exist that morning. It's pretty cool.

Fabric + Happiness

I've been meaning to share about my fabric that I had printed at Spoonflower (courtesy of the wonderful Stephen Fraser)-- it came out great! It's been getting dark so early here, I took this picture at 4:00 and already had candles going.

There are some better photos of the fabric on Stephen's Flickr stream, along with some other fantastic designs they've printed, I love this one here.

And while we're on the topic of patterns and design, I've been tagged by a prolific pattern maker: Yasmine from A Print A Day. Thanks, Yasmine! It was kind of a nutty day today, so it's nice to think about happy stuff.

I can't sew to save my life, but I have a lovely square yard of my custom fabric on its way to me. Perhaps if I order this little children's sewing machine I could make myself some pillows.
