I am very proud to have my work on the cover of Underwired Magazine's "Go" issue this month! (Thank you, Laura Grinstead, for finding me.)
And I love the quote on the cover. It is by Ursula K. LeGuin, and it reads: "It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end." As I am working on a large commissioned piece and still in the "finding it" stages, these words have come at the perfect time.
Update: Mark Baron, Hannelore's son, just wrote to me about an official website he created for his mother, you can find it here. Links above have been updated. Her life and its impact on her artwork is fascinating, and the website is a gorgeous as her work. Thank you, Mark!

If you are a fan of Illustration Friday, you will already know this: Artist Kelly Light is doing a wondrous thing. She is uniting artists from around the world to help the animal victims of the Gulf Oil Spill. Kelly's blog, Ripple, is selling small pieces of art for the teeny tiny price of $10.
To peruse all of the beautiful work available, or to find out about creating art to benefit Ripple, visit here. The pieces in this post were made by me and will be available for $10 apiece once they are up on the site. Please stop by, it is such an important cause.
