I've been working on a biggish mixed media piece that has me stumped. It involves innumerable itty bitty gold raindrops, and I can't seem to make them look like they did in my head... so I took a break from my rain piece and made this instead. It felt good to just make something instead of hovering over the other piece.
My scanner is greatly challenged by yellows and light greens, so this came out more yellow-y than it really is (in real life it's a light lime green) but I like the brightness here, too.
The vintage photo came from my dear neighbor, Shirley. She gave me a whole box of old photos of her relatives a while back, saying she didn't need them since she didn't know who any of them were. The names on the back of this photograph said "Annie and Agnes". Maybe this is the first in a series of Shirley's Unknown Relatives.
