Here are the latest in my 6x6 collages... this material exchange was with tods2tods (Elisabeth Taudière) from Caen, France. I've said this before, but I just adore this Flickr group. It's such a great exercise in pushing yourself; you end up creating art you never would have created on your own. With someone else choosing your materials for you, you end up making different artistic decisions.
The six collages below are made with the papers Elisabeth sent, plus a little gesso and some string.
From Me to You
Brave New God
The Understanding
The Rain Inside
At the Disco
Tigerlilly
Elisabeth sent me a photo of her work in progress, which was so cool to see. I'll attach the link later when she's finished with her collages, but here they are in progress:
And in the meantime, if anyone would like to partner up with me for a collage materials exchange, leave a message on this post or send me an email.
:)
*LOVE* these, Shelley!
I recently did some cut-outs of women in magazines to make masks in a sketchbook and loved the way they came out. the silhouette is such a cool thing especially with all those funky papers you used. and the string is a fabulous touch!
