I have been feeling so shy about my new etsy shop! I haven't told anyone other than my husband, and I've been adding things bit-by-bit, starting with some prints and today adding some originals. I'm so excited that it's up after so many months of dreaming about it. Please stop by and take a peek, let me know what you think.
Here are a few new pieces I've been working on, although I'm a bit naughty to be showing the second collage since I haven't gotten official permission to use the vintage photo... if I hear back from the owner of the photograph that it's a no-go, please forget you ever saw it.
I'm just loving my International 6x6 Collage Group. It's the best thing to join up with another artist, exchange materials by post, and create art using whatever they've sent... which is usually a cool collection of things you'd never choose for yourself.
My latest collaboration was with Leah Piken Kolidas of Creative Every Day. I met her through Flickr, but it turns out we actually had a mandala class together at Artfest. Leah is a prolific, inspiring artist and her work is other-worldly and dreamy. She actually included a few bits and pieces of her artwork, so I included them in my collages, starting with some trees she doodled on my envelope:
